- ★ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆I opened a child's account and the Avadian and the bank clerk assured me there was no way for my child to overdraw the account. That was about as far from the truth as you could get. Avadian charged a $30 per transaction 'courtesy pay fee' on about ten small transactions. Then without notice they withdrew the fees and amounts overdrawn out of my personal account. I didn't know any of this was going on until the withdraw from my personal account. I went in to close the child's account that had a zero balance and they charged me another fee of almost $140 to close the account, called it attorney fees. They refused to disclose the attorney they paid the fee to. They refused to give me written conformation that the account was closed. I asked the branch manager for a copy of the paper I originally signed saying they could do what they had done and she said I would need a court subpoena to get a copy.By Will Carter, May 23, 2017
